In this digital series, 'Atlas', I photographed dilapidated advertisement boards on NYC subway platforms. During the transition period, before a new advertisement is placed over the old, the layered remains of previous posters create an imaginary landscape. I transfer these photographs into 3D software, resulting in a virtual three-dimensional topographic model, attempting to realize the passing of time on this landscape. Each landscape documents a specific site in the fictional world of advertising; each landmark perpetually manipulated and physically eroded by anonymous commuters.
