Interlunar Interlude

Beginning in 2004, I started to employ plastic stretch wrap as the main prop in my photography. The juxtaposition of human figures and transparent plastic wrap created a novel effect that is at once stark and theatrical, haunting and beautiful. It also allowed me to explore a number of pictorial metaphors.

Are the figures in these photos struggling to be born? Are they trapped in a hostile environment? If so, where might this be? Earth? Limbo? Maybe even inferno? Or are they drowning, flying, suffocating?
